Following the old adage: “You can’t manage what you can’t measure,” co-founders Steve Kittleson and Kevin Terrell will return this week to the Noise Oversight Committee (NOC). MAC staff requested the MSPFSC presentation to explain in more detail our goals and desired outcomes, in particular why we want the MAC to publish data that provides the baseline for better decision making, and better action plans to reach our goal of reducing noise by 50% by 2025.
If you have time, please join us in support on Wed. Sept. 20, 1:30 pm MAC General Office Building, Lindbergh Conference Room, 6040 28th Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55450. Steve and Kevin present during the “Public Comment Period” which comes up around 3:00 p.m.
Please note – the NOC meetings are not exactly interactive. You won’t be allowed to speak or ask questions, absent prior approval (really!), and we are not looking for vocal outbursts – just silent, visible support of our efforts. But if you want to comment during the meeting, here’s a link that explains the policy and what to do: http://www.macnoise.com/our-neighbors/msp-noise-oversight-committee-noc-meetings
For those who are interested, we will be in front of the building with signs and stickers to help make your support apparent to all.
